It will need to promote and communicate its remit to its stakeholders i.e. the general public, public and non-governmental organisations, and other interested groups. In addition, it will also need a mechanism for these stakeholders to feed-in information to ESS on any concerns they may have about the effectiveness of public organisations in complying with environmental law.3. Although ESS will become active on the 1st January 2021 it will not become fully established as a legal entity until later on in 2021. As such, for its immediate requirements, the new website will be relatively basic in structure and content. This will be followed later on in 2021 with a comprehensive review of the organisation's longer-term website requirements. Accordingly, the initial website to be built will either be re-developed or superseded.Responsibilities4. A project team within Scottish Government's Environment & Forestry Directorate are responsible for the arrangements to get ESS established including the website.
