With remaining uncertainty of how developments relating to Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic - as well as their interactions - will impact our economy, supply chains and administrative processes at key hubs over the winter months of 2020/21, it is important for the Scottish Government to have timely indications on the health and stresses faced by the Scotland's economy and industry.3. To that end, Scottish Government are exploring options to provide timely measures of food spend, consumption, availability and prices. The purpose of this being to support both timely briefings and ad hoc requests for context.
