Notice Description

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is seeking technical support to assist in conducting a third economic appraisal to identify and evaluate potential options for their future headquarters office. The first option appraisal was carried out in 2016/17 and is no longer current. The second options appraisal prepared in March 2019 identified preferred options which the SPS was ultimately unable to secure. The SPS has worked with the Smarter Workplaces Programme (SWP) established by Scottish Government and Scottish Futures Trust. This programme has been set up to deliver a more strategic approach to the office estate of the Scottish Government and its associated public bodies. This programme, alongside the aforementioned option appraisals and work subsequently conducted in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, has informed a revised HQ requirement which now requires economic evaluation in relation to the most recent property options available in the market.
