This project entails the need to procure a Subscale WAAM Cell which will permit extensive work on additive manufacturing, remanufacturing fronts and support other strategic areas within National Manufacturing Institute for Scotland (NMIS) facilities. It will assist with: - reducing the workload on our other 2 WAAM cells - lowering the need for subcontracting WAAM processes within projects - increasing confidence on using GTA-DED hot-wire process - permitting the delivery of a higher number of AM projects within the centre, increasing investment on the NMIS/AFRC/LMC facilities and interest from partners - Increasing the availability of AM machines to be used in tandem on different projects, e.g. Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) or MELD combined with WAAM - Enable quicker production of studies and outcomes on hybrid approaches, which are key requirements from partners

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the Successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of supplies or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations.
