Bord na Gaidhlig regularly responds to Government and other public consultations which are relevant to Gaelic language and culture. We seek a service to enable responses/opinions from Bord na Gaidhlig to public consultations.

Bord na Gaidhlig regularly responds to Government and other public consultations which are relevant to Gaelic language and culture. We seek the following service to enable responses/opinions from Bord na Gaidhlig to public consultations: 2.1 Updates on new consultations and public questionnaires relevant to Gaelic language and culture. 2.2 Advise the Bord on what consultations might take priority for response. 2.3 Provide a comprehensive response, through research and engagement with relevant staff, other individuals and external stakeholders (if/when required). 2.4 Considering past years, it is expected that the Bord may respond to up to fifteen consultations and occasional less formal questionnaires over a twelve month period. 3. KEY TASKS 3. 1 Ongoing research into what consultations and questionnaires are relevant to the work and aims of Bord na Gaidhlig and which may require responses, including reference to submissions already made. 3.2 Liaise as appropriate with Bord na Gaidhlig Ceannard and Partnerships Manager in order to discuss consultations and priorities and to agree deliverables. 3.3 Ensure that enough time is given to research and consult staff and relevant bodies on any consultation/questionnaire deadline. 3.4 Collate data and relevant information that can be used in responses. All data and information must be shared with Bord na Gaidhlig. 3.5 Advise senior management on any consultation which may require a verbal response/interview. 3.6 Stay abreast of new bills and legislation which may impact on Gaelic language development and keep Bord na Gaidhlig informed on these matters. 3.7 Ensure that all consultations to be considered are logged and provide sufficient information for senior management scrutiny. 3.8 Support and advise staff on relevant questions surrounding consultation responses. 3.9 Advise and assist with external consultations or questionnaires which Bord na Gaidhlig may wish to publish. 3.10 Ensure that all GDPR rules are met throughout. 3.11 Be available to respond to any questions or points raised on consultation responses submitted by Bord na Gaidhlig. 3.12 Provide a final report and analysis of the consultation process towards the end of the contract.

Renewal: The contract will be for an initial period of 12 months, with the option to extend for up to further two periods of 12 months each at the sole discretion of Bord na Gaidhlig.
