"description": "ESPD PART 4C.1.2 Bidders will be required to provide 2 examples of services carried out in the past 3 years that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver an Early Help in Police Custody Service. The examples provided must be of a similar size and nature to this contract opportunity and demonstrate the use of peer support and that the experience and aptitude of staff includes both operating in a justice setting while also offering early help to people with a range of complex needs, demonstrating trauma informed practice. ESPD PART 4C.6 All staff appointed to the contract will be required to have an up-to-date enhanced disclosure Scotland Report and a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Record carried out at the providers cost before being able to provide these services and will also be required to undergo Police Scotland Vetting Level 1. Bidders will be required to confirm that they and/or the service provider have the following relevant educational and professional qualifications and experience: The Coordinator providing the Service must be qualified to a minimum standard of Relevant Degree / Professional Qualification including Social Work, Alcohol and Drugs or equivalent along with experience of managing a team. The Peer Practitioners providing the Service must be qualified to a minimum standard of SVQ in Health & Social Care / Alcohol and Drugs Level II, III (or HNC equivalent) along with experience of supporting people with complex needs. The Peer Navigator providing the Service must have 2 years of stability in own recovery with knowledge of methods of supporting people with problematic substance use. The Data Analyst/Business Support providing the Service must be qualified to degree level in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics or equivalent."
