Notice Description

The Poverty and Inequality Commission (PIC) wishes to commission research to improve understanding of the creation of "good jobs" in Scotland. The aim of this research is to strengthen the evidence base upon which the Commission makes its recommendations to the Scottish Government on good jobs, using the levers it has available to it, in order to reduce child poverty over an approximate 10 year time horizon.

The Poverty and Inequality Commission (PIC) wishes to commission research to improve understanding of the creation of "good jobs" in Scotland. The aim of this research is to strengthen the evidence base upon which the Commission makes its recommendations to the Scottish Government on good jobs, using the levers it has available to it, in order to reduce child poverty over an approximate 10 year time horizon. This will contribute to stronger, better informed, recommendations that the Scottish Government can consider and respond to in terms of the actions it intends to take in its 2022-2026 Child Poverty Delivery Plan, and the PIC's wider work on reducing poverty and inequality through advice and scrutiny on employment and labour market issues.

Renewal: There may be the option for contract extension, subject to agreement with the Contract Manager.
