Gartbreck Landfill Site is situated on the Isle of Islay and is the main landfill site used within the island. The transfer station (NR 29105 58160) allows an area for waste to be stored prior to being moved to the landfills cells or off site. The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of the transfer station by installing new concrete block walls and to install new drainage to complement the works. Another aim is to complete maintenance work in accordance with the works information and carry out electrical works upgrades.
