Abertay University is currently developing an ambitious digital strategy. We would like to hear from suppliers about innovative solutions which could be used to help Abertay gain a reputation for digital excellence, in line with its teaching excellence. We are looking at solutions to address the areas detailed in the attached document but are open to other relevant suggestions. Suppliers are required to submit no more than 500 words on why your solution should be presented to our staff for possible inclusion in our digital strategy. We will review the submissions and invite suppliers who match our ambitions to give one/two 30 minute presentations to a relevant group of staff/students, on our Art of The Possible Day. We will review the submissions by the 6th of October, and our presentation day is currently scheduled for the 20th of October 2021. We have a limited number of slots available. In the event that there is sufficient interest in a presentation we may request that it is held at another time. We would also like to record any presentations for staff who can not attend to feedback later. These presentations will inform our digital strategy and future procurements, but we may also choose to pilot some of the solutions presented. The areas we are interested in are, but not limited to: Student Recruitment and onboarding Student engagement environments Student learning support (writing, 24/7 help, assessment support, study support, writing support etc) Communities and socialisation Collaboration Telepresence Video streaming and flexible classrooms Interactive and adaptive video Alternatives to lectures Technologies to support different ways of teaching (hybrid and hyflex) Immersive, VR and augmented reality video content Learning experience platforms (connect students and lecturers outside of the classroom) Effective and flexible assessment and proctoring Estates and building technologies that provide a digitally rich and smart, intelligent campus AI/chatbot/voice assistant - an end to end tool that can be used at all stages of the student lifecycle to make life easier for students and staff Process automation Virtual reality Virtual labs etc Tools to help us create teaching resources, eg engaging video with good editing Tools to help us foster knowledge communities Engaging instruction platforms - tools that help facilitate and enhance staff-led live and blended instruction Fundraising and philanthropic giving platforms
