Notice Description

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) has appointed a qualified and experienced supplier to provide a Scrap metal management services in line with current legislation. The scrap metal management service provides SPT with a revenue stream. It is anticipated that the contract will be for a five year period and the contract will commence September 2021. SPT require the service provider to assist and ensure compliance by providing a reliable and regular collection and disposal service tailored to meet SPT's specific requirements. The service provider is required to provide information/guidance on how to maximise the service effectively and how to avoid contamination. SPT has a number of operational sites, however all scrap metal uplift services will be via a single site although SPT reserve the right to organise uplifts at other sites on an adhoc basis. Main uplift Site: Broomloan Engineering Depot, Robert Street Govan G51 3HB. Strathclyde Partnership for Transports reserves the right to appoint a single service provider, to uplift all scrap material on both a regular and ad-hoc basis predominately from Broomloan Depot, Robert Street, Glasgow G51 3HB.
