Summary of the contracting process

The Common Services Agency, commonly known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), is currently conducting a tender process titled "Public Healthcare - Outsourcing DPS" to secure medical services for NHS Scotland Health Boards. This initiative falls under the health services industry category and is located in the UK region. The procurement stage is in the active phase, with submissions to be made electronically until the deadline on 29th October 2026. Interested providers should note that this tender involves a selective procurement method, specifically a restricted procedure for establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for External Medical Services.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in the provision of medical services, particularly those capable of delivering a range of inpatient procedures, clinics, and outpatient services. Companies with expertise in surgical procedures for adults and children, as well as those meeting specific insurance and trading criteria, are ideally positioned to compete. With an estimated contract value of £150 million and a focus on high-quality healthcare, businesses that can demonstrate capacity and compliance with the required standards will find this an advantageous opportunity to engage with NHS Scotland's healthcare delivery.
