Zero Waste Scotland required the services of a suitably skilled and experienced Supplier for the provision of technical support to undertake research into the practical actions required to support the establishment of a circular economy for batteries in Scotland. The Project is required to: - undertake an evaluation of the anticipated battery demand as a result of Scotland's net zero targets and how this relates to the availability of raw materials and recycled feedstock, as well as their applicability to future transport battery requirements - for example, from lithium-ion to solid-state batteries, etc. - identify the infrastructure needs and legislative environment required to support the transition to a circular economy for batteries in Scotland, including consideration of the potential scale of battery manufacturing and recycling The Project will culminate with the completion of a report detailing the findings from all stages of Project delivery. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
