Summary of the contracting process

The Peel Park Restoration Project, issued by East Dunbartonshire Council, is currently in the contract award stage after a successful tender process. Located in Kirkintilloch, within the UKM81 region, this project aims to enhance a historic public park first opened in 1898, focusing on its significant decorative ironwork. The contract, valued at £76,269, was signed on 1st March 2022, following an open procurement method that encouraged participation from various suppliers.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the construction and restoration sectors, particularly those with experience in historical site preservation and civil works. Businesses specialising in landscaping, masonry, and architectural restoration would be particularly suited to tender for this project. Engaging in such public contracts not only fosters growth but also enhances a company's portfolio through the successful execution of community-oriented projects.
