Renfrewshire Council is using a two stage procedure to procure a suitably qualified software contractor to undertake the production and design of digital interactives following the extension, renovation and refurbishment of the Grade A listed Paisley Museum. Stage 1 is the selection stage. Stage 2 is the award stage. Renfrewshire Council is using a two stage procedure to procure a suitably experienced and qualified Consultant to develop digital interactives for the Paisley Museum. This work forms part of the paisley Museum Re-imagined project. Design and software development to produce final working digital games. Number 12 digital interactives in total. 7 single screen touch screens (2 requiring a mechanical interface) and 5 with 2, 3, 4 or 5 screens - these are a mix of touch screens and feedback screens. These will be running computer touch screens. The games and interactives themselves will be simple in computer games terms, see CBBC games (https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/games) in terms of level of interactivity and gameplay (but not the Look and Feel). The successful contractor will need to develop all the elements required to produce robust, engaging and accessible games - this would include character, scene animations (if there are any), scene development and all on screen graphics. The following documents are contained in the Additional Documents section as "Supporting Documents.zip" file which further detail the Council's requirements for the successful Contractor. Candidates should take cognisance of these documents when completing their RTP and demonstrating their previous experience with services similar in scope and scale. It is anticipated that the successful contractor will have 12 months to design, develop and procure final working games, programme will be confirmed at Stage 2 - Award stage. The "Supporting Documents.zip" file contains some example briefs for the digital interactives, but these documents are subject to change and will be further developed prior to Stage 2 - Award stage. The Council has also included Video Presentations on the PMR project and digital exhibition design.
