Kinship Care Support

The Kinship Care Support Service will give support to those family members/friends who step in, either on a short or long term basis; to give the necessary support to their child/ young person to ensure they have dependable, enduring relationships with the adults who care for them and remain within East Lothian where possible.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.

Family Group Decision Making

The Services will look to put families at the centre of deciding how best their child/ young person can be cared for, identifying their solutions to the challenges they face, and look to maintain the child or young person within the family group and within East Lothian.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.

Advocacy and Rights Work

The Advocacy and Rights provision will ensure that where it is necessary to place a child or young person in a statutory service such as being looked after at home, or within foster or residential care, either within or outwith East Lothian, their voice is heard and that they are at the centre of what is happening in their plan.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
