Notice Description

Note the Macduff Cross historic structure is central to the site but doesnt directly form part of this contract.

The procurement requires (1) The demolition of the existing masonry platform adjacent to the historic cross, including the removal from site and disposal all resulting debris/waste. (2) The making good of the area of platform demolition for subsequent installation of landscaping including all required site down takings and site preparation across the whole site area for the installation of the designed hard and soft landscaping. (3) Making good any exposed areas of wall adjacent to the platform post demolition operations. The work includes harling the face of the wall facing the public space and pointing as required the joints of the plinth of the historic cross. (4) Implementation of all hard landscape features including new areas of foot path and paved areas. (5) Implementation of all areas of soft landscape including, importation of top soil, ground preparation/cultivation and implementation of specialist materials such as geo textile and (6) Sourcing and installation of associated equipment such as public seating and bins. (7) Note: The contract will include 1 year's maintenance of all hard and soft landscape features the contractor will implement, the period of maintenance to start from the date the works are certified to be practically complete.
