The contract will run for an initial two-year duration. River Clyde Homes may wish, at our sole discretion, to extend any resultant agreement for up to a further 2, 12-month periods subject to the mutual consent of the successful tenderer. Interested parties must first evidence to River Clyde Homes via the SPD that they have the requisite technical capacity, accreditation, and experience to undertake works of this nature, before they will be taken forward to the full tender evaluation. Bidders should be aware that RCH are also in the process of procuring an Asbestos Survey contract. As the HSE strongly recommend that these two distinct services are carried out by separate companies, the same company will not be awarded both contracts. So, should a company bid for both contracts, and become the preferred bidder for both, they will be given the choice as to which contract, they want to undertake. The second placed bidder will be awarded the remaining contract.",

The references should provide a summary of the works undertaken and indicate the clients own satisfaction levels with the quality of service they received. (Pass/Fail) SPD Question 4C.2 Bidders are required to provide details provide details of the pool of available Asbestos Removalists (On site staff, not management) that are available to service the contract in the event of a successful bid. Staff numbers, core skills, qualifications, accreditations, experience and competency should be provided. (Pass/Fail) SPD Question 4C.6.1 Bidders are required to provide details of the relevant experience; and the educational and professional qualifications held by their managerial staff.(Pass/Fail) SPD Question 4C.10 Bidders are required to provide details of the proportion of the contract that you intend to subcontract, list the disciplines that will be sub-contracted, provide details of the sub-contractors you intend to sub-contract these works to, and explain how they've been selected. A separate SPD for each such subcontractors must be completed. Although sub-contracting in and of itself will not be a reason for a company to fail the SPD stage, failure to provide the required information in relation to sub-contractors may result in your company being removed from the process. Where the preferred bidder does not hold the above accreditation, they will require to satisfy River Clyde Homes' Internal Health & Safety Team of their competence through other means prior to any contract award. And Bidders are required to produce certificates drawn up by independent bodies attesting that the bidder holds a UKAS (or equivalent) accredited independent third party certificate of compliance in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001 (or equivalent). And Bidders are required to produce evidence that they hold a current full HSE Asbestos Licence; and are current Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA), or, Asbestos Control and Abatement Division (ACAD), or, United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) Category C members. And Bidders are required to produce a UKAS (or equivalent) accredited independent third party certificate of compliance with BS EN ISO 14001 (or equivalent) or a valid EMAS (or equivalent) certificate, And Bidders, or their named sub-contractor, are required to produce a current SEPA (or other appropriate) waste carrier License."
