Infrastructure Engineer Services within a wider professional services team. The role of the whole professional team will be to deliver a masterplan to RIBA Stage 2 with a fixed but viable design principle and PPiP or all required asset classes. In parallel the team are to design the estate wide infrastructure and landscape architecture to RIBA Stage 3/4 after conducting an energy/telecoms strategy report for the estate and incorporating the recommendations within.

The role of the Infrastructure Engineer will be to deliver specific aims 3a-f listed in the scope of service, provided again below: Fully design the road and infrastructure - Infrastructure includes energy infrastructure and communications infrastructure - Energy strategy will provide recommendations to be designed, will potentially need to work with battery storage partners and Scottish Water regarding heat from waste - Includes surface and wastewater - Design infrastructure relative to planning conditions of site - Design phased delivery approach - Roads Construction Consent The task will be to design all infrastructure for ZeroFour including roads, heat, water (surface, supply, and waste), power and telecoms for delivery. Crown Estate Scotland wish to complete this work sections with a full design ready to tender for all but the built assets in each plot - including connections to said plots. This will include engagement with all members of the team to ensure design and planning coherency and cost efficiency. The previous owner achieved full planning permission for the first section of road which requires a Road Construction Consent. This design is to be assessed bringing in energy and telecoms considerations from the Energy Strategy Report. There are also a number of planning conditions relating to roads and junctions beyond the confines of ZeroFour and these, where appropriate, are to be included in the design works. The infrastructure engineer will be responsible for assessment of existing suite of site investigations, topographical studies and other relevant documents and advising where further study is required. The infrastructure engineer will create a site investigation map to be used to direct geotechnical investigations for the roads - to include a number of key test bores within plots to inform later plot infrastructure cost planning. The investigation works will be tendered separately, the infrastructure engineer will be asked to engage with the Crown Estate Scotland BDM and project manager to coordinate the scope of works for this and liaise with the geotechnical surveyors to ensure requisites are met. Key deliverables will include: - Full design of roads and junctions - With appropriate site/geotechnical investigations - Accepted by planners - Road Construction Consent - Street lighting design - To include EV charging solutions - Full design of all energy, water, and communications infrastructure - With regard to the Energy and Communications Strategy - With all Pre-Development Enquiries - Including SUDS
