Research into Provision for Pupils with Complex Additional Support Needs in Scotland
Notice Description
The Scottish Government has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for qualitative research on ways in which support for pupils with complex additional support needs is provided within Scotland to reach their full potential. As part of the development process for the requirement, Scottish Procurement is seeking information from the market in connection with those areas set out in this Request for Supplier Information (RFI). All information provided will be used for analysis and research purposes only.

Lot 1
The Scottish Government has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for qualitative research on ways in which support for pupils with complex additional support needs is provided within Scotland to reach their full potential. The aims of the research are to: * Establish what partnerships exist and ways in which they support improved outcomes for children and young people with complex additional support needs. * Identify what approaches work in terms of providing that institutional support and where barriers exist. * Identify and highlight areas of effective practice along with any associated challenges to rolling it out. * Investigate the different ways learning and workforce development are used to enable staff to support positive outcomes, including successful transitions, for children and young people with complex additional support needs. * Include the perspective of pupils parents and carers. The service provider will be expected to engage with a wide range of stakeholders: pupils, parents/carers, teachers, support staff and headteachers. The contract is anticipated to be awarded for a period of 6 months with a possible 4 month extension.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
Renewal: The contract may be extended by an additional 4 month period.
