Notice Description

The purpose of this tender is to appoint an experienced/qualified conservator contractor to carry out repair, cleaning & restoration work to the fountain together with the fitting of creative lighting using a 'Fountain of Light' concept.

Lot 1

The Works comprise the Stonework restoration of the fountain by an experienced/qualified Conservator, and feature lighting to Smollett fountain in Alexandria, which is a Category "B" listed structure. The works comprise the careful dismantling of parts, cleaning, restoration and stone repairs, sections of stone replacement, and installation of a feature lighting scheme. All works must be carefully recorded at all stages, and agreed with the CA.
