Notice Description
The Scottish Government is awarding a supplier to provide the Animal Health and Welfare Division within the Agriculture and Rural Economy Directorate a contract with an appropriately qualified and experienced contractor to carry out laboratory examinations on samples of blood, milk/colostrum and vaginal swabs for evidence of brucella abortus infection. This contract will form part of Scotland's programme to monitor the national herd for brucellosis.

The Scottish Government had a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of Laboratory Testing - Abortion Investigations in Cattle. The contract will be for a period of 36 months with no option to extend. The Service Provider must hold accreditation by UKAS to comply with European Standard EN ISO/IEC 17025 (laboratory accreditation).
