These consultancy services are to develop an implementation plan for the translation of a robotic research prototype to ISO13485 regulatory approved medical device status; and to ascertain the costs and resources required to support this. A longer term and much larger delivery project will be the subject of a separate tendering exercise should this pilot proposal prove viable.
Procurement Information
The proposed robotic bronchoscopy work is directly related to congruent prior work by the service provider, targeting the same clinical need (lung diagnostics), and the knowledge sharing across these projects cannot be matched by other firms. The proposed robotic work includes similar regulated medical device development quality considerations and regulatory route to market and would initially be developed under the existing QMS (Quality Management System). The service provider has unrivalled experience working on endoluminal robotics.
