Independent Living and Financial Management Support Services
Notice Description
Award of contract. Requirement for a provider to offer a range of services which support people with disabilities to live independently and to fully understand the various Self-Directed Support (SDS) options available to them. This will include information, independent advice and one-to-one support to arrange and manage their own SDS package if they choose. A financial or money management service is also required for those supported people who require assistance managing their Self-Directed Support Budget. The overall objective of the service being to ensure the supported person is provided with advice and support to make an informed choice when exercising their SDS options, to provide assistance and support to assist the supported person employ and manage personal assistants and manage their SDS Budget.

Lot 1
Award of contract. Independent Living Service - will provide person centred, outcomes focused, one to one support as appropriate to assist people with disabilities to live independently and manage their own finances and care. - will support the individual to prepare their assessment and to explore the best Self-Directed Support Option. - will provide comprehensive assistance to enable service users to understand and manage their personal budgets, take control of their financial responsibilities in relation to Self-Directed Support funds, identify the amount and type of support they require through Self-Directed Support. Financial Management Service requirements: Provide a Financial Management Service for people with disabilities who are assessed as needing additional support to manage their Self-Directed Support package. Both Services must be delivered in accordance with the fundamental principles of Self-Directed Support. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
Renewal: 3 year contract which may be extended by the Council by 2 years (1 year plus 1 year).
