The process has been improved to make it easier for local businesses to tender for the council's contracts. Under new arrangements for the simplified procurement process, more quotes will be sought from South Lanarkshire-based businesses, and the size of the contracts that are available could be as much as 2000000GBP. This change in process adjusts the terms of what is known as a 'Quick Quote'.
