Procurement Information
Throughout the duration of the contract, the service has worked closely with the supplier to configure and develop the line of business system to meet service requirements. The initial contract was for optimised routing software, producing hard copy route sheets for crews. Significant work has been carried out to digitise routes via this in-cab technology. The technical work completed has included system integration between FleetRoute and our line of business customer relationship management (CRM) system, to improve communications with customers and reduce the number of enquiries received by proactively messaging customers when there is an issue with their service. Having to complete a full procurement of a replacement system will have a major impact on resources which are already under extreme pressure i.e.: initial set up, training, service resource in the development and refining routes. Additional support involving staff from Business and Digital, Corporate Procurement. Repeating integration of new system with CRM, ensuring cloud security principles are met, etc. This line of business system is a unique/specialist technology solution and there is not yet a framework
