Notice Description
This opportunity will deliver a comprehensive approach to collating and reporting the full range of benefits/ impact analysis the canal network offers across a range of economic, environmental, and social indicators. Scottish Canals are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced consultant who can develop, deliver, and report on a comprehensive social, environmental and economic evaluation and reporting framework based around canal activity, reflecting the breadth of activities and investment we undertake now and over the next five years. We are looking for a provider who can develop a comprehensive set of indicators to measure what we do and promote the wider impact it has across our communities and that we can embed within our approach to delivering our five-year vision.

Lot 1
Our vision as set out in our next Corporate Plan will cover the period 2023 to 2028 and embeds the ambition to use the canal network as a means of improving lives and benefiting communities across Scotland. Alongside our own aims the performance approach and framework will be required to demonstrate how we contribute to the Scottish Government's National Performance Framework. In particular, how we can support the core aim to create of "a more successful country with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish through increased wellbeing, and sustainable and inclusive economic growth." . Key aims of the evaluation and reporting framework are as follows -Make optimum use of Scottish canals primary data and secondary sources. -Allow for annual reporting, but also tracking of longitudinal change and trends with other key socio- economic data sources -Create an evaluation model that we can own and input -Allow our information to be layered on and referenced against other existing relevant datasets. -Allow benchmarking with comparable organisations. -Develop a set of relevant indicators that allow reporting in outcomes and impacts across economic, social, human as well as environmental capital -This tender process will be a restricted procedure.
Renewal: The contract may be extended for a further 2x12 months
