Grid Connection Costs for Shewalton Solar PV Farm
Notice Description
North Ayrshire Council aim to develop a 5.27MW solar PV farm on the former Shewalton landfill site. A grid connection will be required for Shewalton Solar PV Farm. A grid connection can only be set up by a Distribution Network Operator (DNO). The distribution network operator is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the electric and gas networks up and down the country and in Scotland, unlike England, there is only one DNO. Scottish Power Energy Network (SPEN) are the sole DNO and the only one who can provide a quote to establish a gird connection.
