The Scottish Government Children and Families Analysis Unit is seeking a service provider to undertake the Follow Up Phases (Phases 4-6) of the SSELC, which aims to explore the impact of the expansion of funded ELC in Scotland from 600 hours to 1,140 hours. The Baseline Phases (Phases 1-3) of the SSELC were carried out during 2018 and 2019 and involved the collation of data from 3 samples of eligible children, and their parents, who were receiving 600 hours of funded ELC. This contract will involve collecting data from comparable samples of children and parents who are entitled to 1,140 hours of funded ELC during 2023 and 2024, following the roll out of expanded hours across Scotland in August 2021.
