Procurement Information

This machine complements an existing installed 4-system base of cutters from the same supplier, and will use the same software management system supplied by that supplier, including the packaged team viewer application. It will also come under a single expanded maintenance regime so will have economies of maintenance support visits, commonality of spares and interoperability. Training on the new system will also be facilitated by having the same manufacturer. Operating multiple manufacturer systems with different technical characteristics would result in disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and maintenance, and also degrade the teaching and learning experience for students, contrary to The University's Strategy 2030 objectives to improve and sustain student satisfaction.
