Notice Description
The Rural Academy will target unemployed/workless people who reside within South Lanarkshire's rural communities in Clydesdale and Avondale. There are remote areas in South Lanarkshire where accessibility to employability and training remain challenging and where evidence suggests that job losses will be disproportionately higher when the post Covid recession hits. This programme is for people with multiple barriers to employment who reside within South Lanarkshire's rural communities. The programme will include barrier removal; employability training incorporating industry specific/vocational training focused on access to quality employment offers. This programme will provide a menu of activity that reflects the needs of our local labour market and will engage a range of target groups to deliver a package of customised support to provide access to quality employment opportunities.
