Notice Description
This is a prior information notice seeking information and advice in relation to an upcoming quick quote exercise for the provision of Sheltered Housing - Communal Waste Bin Cleaning. It is planned that The Council will advertise for this required service in lots to allow interested parties to bid on specific areas that they might be able to cover without over committing.
Lot Information
Area 1
The Council is seeking a regular, reliable, and efficient communal bin cleaning service that provides value for money for the Sheltered Housings schemes throughout Aberdeenshire listed below. The Council is keen to ensure that there is a high standard of cleanliness throughout its premises. The General waste & food waste bins are to be cleaned once every three (3) months, on the same day that they are emptied, or as close as possible to the day as agreed with Council's Contract Manager. All bins on site are to be cleaned on the same day and one all-inclusive price shall be provided per site. In addition, there will be occasional requests for other waste bins to be cleaned with agreed costs in advance of cleaning It is an offence to cause pollution of controlled waters either deliberately or accidentally. All wheeled bin cleansing operators should be licensed by the Unitary Local Authority (ULA). The ULA will ensure that operators are aware of the Scottish Water Guidelines, see additional uploaded document. The locations and details of general waste bins to be cleaned are split into 6 lots detailed below: Area One: Banff & Buchan Bidders should describe their proposed process and explain how wastewater from the cleaning process will be managed and correctly disposed of.
