    The Scottish Government Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Division is responsible for overseeing commitments on expanding funded ELC provision with 1,140 hours of high quality funded ELC available to all three and four-year-olds and eligible two-year-olds. This includes the delivery of a free meal for every eligible child as part of the ELC day.Setting the Table, nutritional guidance and food standards for early years childcare providers in Scotland, was first published in 2015 then updated in 2018. The current refresh has been commissioned to ensure that the publication takes account of the most up-to-date scientific evidence and nutritional guidance.The Division wishes to commission the production of nutritionally analysed sample menus for children aged 1 to 5 years (for 2 weeks), which meet the revised nutrient and food and drinks standards for early years that are currently being developed by a technical working group. The group comprises experts from key agencies including Public Health Scotland, Food Standards Scotland and the NHS.
