    "description": "The Board intend to commence re-procurement of it's Laboratories Managed Service around February 2024. The current annual value of the service is circa 27.5m GBP per annum. The Board is looking at a longer term contract which would allow for potential equipment refresh to be built in. The Board intends to work to a timescale to ensure that the award of contract is complete by March 2025 to allow for an implementation period thereafter, to coincide with the end of the current contract (as extended) of 20th May 2027. The Prior Information Notice is intended to notify suppliers of this forthcoming tender but also to allow for site visits for potential competent bidders in order to assess the available labs footprint and access relevant drawings and other technical information. Details regarding site visits and dates will be uploaded to the PCS additional documents area in due course. The PIN will be open until the end of December 2023. Prior to publication of the contract notice, if possible we will endeavour to share draft specifications, over-arching terms and conditions and other relevant documents, however cannot guarantee this.
