Notice Title
Analysis of mechanisms and governance approaches to securing public value from natural resources
Notice Description
The overarching objectives for this work are to: 1. Using examples, explain how previous and current models and mechanisms distribute public, community and private benefits from natural resource value. 2. Critically analyse these approaches using community wealth building as a framework. Consideration should be given to factors including the distribution and balance of public and private benefit and level of reinvestment in the local or national economy across short, medium, and long-term horizons. 3. Identify lessons for mechanisms and governance that could be used to inform the Scottish Land Commission's policy and good-practice advice on sharing the benefits arising from emerging natural capital value in Scotland's land.
