Procurement Information
Michigan Publishing Services (MPS) aligns with the values of Aberdeen University Press to operate entirely within the university sector, independent of and without reliance on commercial and third parties, and to be as inclusive as possible of all researchers seeking to publish openly, anywhere in the world. - MPS sits organisationally within University of Michigan Library, which is subject to University of Michigan governance structures. This provides a high degree of assurance that a non-commercial business model without risk of commercial acquisition will be sustained over the long-term. - The MPS business model requires no minimum number of articles a year for journals, which makes it attractive to journal editorial boards with limited resources. Michigan Publishing Services (MPS) offers a unique basket of services to other university presses, and a thorough market analysis has determined that there is no other service provider available that meets our requirements.
