Notice Description
The Scottish Government needs to understand the suitability of different forms of zero emissions heating system to heat properties, building upon work carried out by ESC last year. We are particularly interested in the operation of alternative ZEH heating systems to the systems considered in the previous project - specifically we would like to understand more about the operation of a high temperature heat pump and electric boiler to heat the same archetypes of buildings that were previously considered.

We are particularly interested in the operation of alternative ZEH heating systems to the systems considered in the previous project - specifically we would like to understand more about the operation of a high temperature heat pump and electric boiler to heat the same archetypes of buildings that were previously considered.
Procurement Information
There is only one possible supplier: ESC carried out work for us earlier in the year to model energy efficiency measures and heat decarbonisation technologies in existing homes. We now need additional data from the same model to support ministerial discussions into new heat and energy efficiency legislation. This work can only be carried out by ESC, as they hold the original model (Home Energy Dynamics (HED) simulation model), and the outputs from this work need to be comparable and consistent with the outputs from the original project.
