Since 2016 ELC have funded an Energy Efficiency Advice Service targeted at those most in need, to meet statutory obligations in respect of fuel poverty. The appointed Service Provider will offer information and advice that targets fuel poor households across all tenures, covering the entire county of East Lothian, including rural areas. The Service Provider will engage with residents to reduce household fuel bills by providing fuel billing information and an advocacy service, by supporting changes to attitudes and behaviour and helping to increase energy efficiency in the home. Goals/Objectives 1)Reduce fuel poverty 2)Support and target those most in need, those who are most vulnerable households including minority ethnic households and households that are home to people living with disabilities to help them reduce their fuel bills. 3)Ensure most efficient use of resources by liaising with Community Partners to reach those clients most in need and refer them to other services when appropriate i.e. lighter touch. 4)Empower households to get out of fuel poverty through lifestyle changes and greater awareness of positive changes they can make 5)Reduce carbon emissions 6)Provide literature to educate people in ways they can reduce energy consumption, this can be publicised and distributed by both the council and the provider 7)Training for council staff 8)Awareness of damp/mould/condensation
