Notice Description
North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership are commissioning an intensive therapeutic counselling service for young people that are under 18 years of age, who have been exposed to traumatic experience such as, - Being a victim of abuse (physical, sexual and/or emotional) - Bereavement of a close friend or family member (especially if sudden and unexpected) - Bullying or coercive control - Witnessing extremely distressing events (i.e., domestic abuse) The service to be provided will be a joint model of care, that will allow the traumatised young person to include a significant adult in their day to day lives to receive assistance/support from the provider that will allow the adult to fully understand the impact of the trauma and its effect, enabling help them to help the young person in their recovery.
