Summary of the contracting process

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), located in Edinburgh, has been awarded a contract for Workforce Specialist Services. The contract, valued at £8,360,000, was awarded to Hurley Group and will commence on 1st April 2025 with an initial duration of 3 years and an option to extend for an additional 2 years. The procurement method used was an open procedure, and the process is currently at the award stage. This contract falls under the healthcare industry category and focuses on providing confidential mental health, including addiction, assessment and treatment services to the health and social care workforce in Scotland. The total workforce impacted is approximately 400,000 individuals, and around 750 individuals are expected to require support over a twelve-month period.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specializing in mental health and addiction treatment services to engage in a high-value, high-impact project. The specialised nature of the services required, including confidential assessment and treatment for regulated practitioners, makes this contract particularly suited to firms with experience in handling mental health support for professionals in the health and social care sectors. The winning bidder will lead a multi-professional team and provide a range of services, including in-patient detoxification and rehabilitation therapy, advisory support, and case management. This is an ideal opportunity for businesses that have substantial expertise in mental health services, particularly those that can offer specialised care for regulated practitioners facing professional implications due to their mental health conditions.
