Award of Infaunal and granulometry analysis of grab samples (MS-P-0384)
Notice Description
The Scottish Ministers, Marine Directorate invites bids from a suitable contractor to analyse 54 marine sediment grab samples for infauna abundance and biomass and 10 marine sediment samples for Particle Size Analysis.The output data will feed into a wider project to compare different sampling techniques used at offshore wind farm sites to optimise benthic survey designs. The potential for a more efficient and effective approach to data collection to support applicants submitting the evidence required during the application process for Marine Renewable (MR) developments.This tender will contribute to the overall process of the deployment of offshore renewable technology including the ScotWind leasing round, including individual project level EIAs, and will support the Scottish Governments Net Zero ambitions while protecting our marine environment as well as supporting future planning work.
