Summary of the contracting process

NHS Highland has awarded a contract for the continuation of the Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) Level 2 service across Argyll and Bute. The procurement falls under the health and social work services category and aims to manage approximately 45 referrals per month. The awarded contract, valued at £49,999, will commence from 1 April 2025, following the conclusion of the current agreement on 31 March 2025. This procurement aligns with the Scottish Government's goal to embed DBI across all regions of Scotland in 2024, ensuring its sustainability thereafter. The award stage of the procurement process has been completed, with Change Mental Health Ltd selected as the supplier.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses operating in health and social services, especially those experienced in managing mental health and crisis intervention programmes. Businesses capable of delivering a high volume of consistent, high-quality DBI Level 2 services are well-suited to compete. The contract not only offers a substantial financial opportunity but also the chance to contribute to a vital public health initiative. Companies looking for growth in the public health sector and those with established infrastructure in Scotland will find this an excellent opportunity to expand their operations and influence.
