North Ayrshire Council require to appoint a competent fire safety company to develop comprehensive fire strategies and undertake associated works, for several sheltered housing units which are considered higher risk in terms of fire safety, ensuring compliance with Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006.

North Ayrshire Council require to appoint a competent fire safety company to develop comprehensive fire strategies and undertake associated works, for several sheltered housing units which are considered higher risk in terms of fire safety, ensuring compliance with Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The scope of works will include the following: - Assess each SHUs design, occupancy and existing fire safety measures. (active surveys, compartmentation drawings, fire plan surveys) - Develop a fire strategy document for each unit including: Fire prevention measures Detection and warning systems Means of escape eg PEEPS (where applicable) Existing firefighting equipment and suppression systems Emergency procedures
