East Lothian Council commissioned community day support services for adults aged 16 and over, delivered in East Lothian. Both contracts were signed on 2 October 2026. Each lot has a stated period of 1,440 days, with possible extensions of two years plus two years. Staff names and qualifications were required, and alternative bids were not allowed.

This award shows demand for adult community day support across both centre-based and individually delivered services in East Lothian. Suppliers best placed to compete when this requirement returns will be able to evidence experience supporting adults aged 16 and over, including intensive individual and shared support in centres, as well as one-to-one assistance in people’s homes and community settings. Providers may need to deliver across more than one setting and support both individual and shared activities. The buyer required the names and qualifications of staff assigned to the work, so a credible future competitor should be able to identify a suitably qualified delivery team and demonstrate capacity to provide reliable local support.
