Award of Support the administration of the Home Owner's Support Fund

Notice Description

The Scottish Government requires a residential property surveying service to support the administration of the Home Owner's Support Fund which is comprised of two mortgage rescue schemes:Mortgage to Rent (MTR) - where we try to find a social landlord to buy the property with subsidy support from SG, allowing the owner to remain in their home with a Scottish Secure Tenancy.Mortgage to Shared Equity (MTSE) - where Scottish Ministers can buy up to a 30% temporary stake in a property, allowing the homeowner to reduce their monthly outgoings.The successful operation of both schemes depends on HOSF officials having timely access to good quality property valuation services at all locations around Scotland.Property valuations are required to assess whether homeowners are eligible for assistance and also to provide a valuation of their property that can be used as the basis for the calculation of government subsidies.
