Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), headquartered in Cambuslang, UK, is currently in the procurement stage for a significant contract titled "Post Incident Support". This contract falls under the service industry category and is aimed at providing post-incident support services across all regions of Scotland, including remote and rural areas. The procurement method being employed is an open procedure with electronic submission as the primary method of submission. Recent updates to the pricing schedule have led to an extension of the tender submission deadline to 19th February 2026. This extension is intended to offer suppliers ample time to review changes and complete any additional work required, allowing them to provide comprehensive proposals. The tender, valued at £675,449, is part of SFRS’s commitment to maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of its employees, supporting the organisation's Mental Health Strategy.

This tender presents considerable opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health services and trauma support. Companies with expertise in delivering psychological services, training, and digital innovation in service delivery stand to benefit significantly from engaging with this procurement. The contract requires extensive geographic service delivery across Scotland, demanding organisations with robust logistical capabilities. Moreover, businesses can leverage this opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to community benefits by including initiatives such as employment and skills development, which align with the Scottish Government’s community benefits in procurement policies. The contract’s potential for extension by up to two additional years further suggests ample room for establishing lasting partnerships and contributing to SFRS's long-term well-being and resilience goals.
