Notice Description

The Arbroath Harbour slipway cradle has reached the end of its serviceable life and requires to be replaced. The cradle is in two halves, upper end and lower end, and is joined with a brackets and pins. The cradle winch is not part of these works however the connection to the winch cable is. The slipway track guides will remain in place and the new cradle will have to be constructed to fit the width and spacing. The Contractor provides all labour, plant, materials, temporary works, and supervision necessary to remove the existing slipway cradle at Arbroath Harbour and supply, install, and commission a new cradle system suitable for the operational requirements of the Harbour Authority. The completed works must deliver a fully functional cradle capable of safely supporting vessels using the slipway, in accordance with the Client's performance requirements and relevant marine engineering standards.
