To support Transport Scotland, on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, in fulfilling its statutory consultee role in the planning process for energy consents submitted to the Scottish Government under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989, with specific regard to transport, road safety and network impacts. The appointed consultant will be required to: - Audit Transport Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments and related supporting information submitted with Section 36 applications; - Prepare draft consultation responses and recommendations for Transport Scotland to issue to Local Authorities and applicants; and - Provide support in line with statutory consultee requirements and agreed service standards.
