Lot 1
Public Service Delivery Scotland (PSDS), acting on behalf of NHS Scotland, has awarded a contract for the provision of specialist Pelvic Mesh Removal Services. The service will provide access to clinically led assessment, treatment and pelvic mesh removal procedures for eligible patients requiring specialist care. The contract was awarded under the Light Touch Regime for health services.
Options: The Agreement may be extended beyond the initial term, subject to ongoing service requirements and available contract value. Any extension will be managed in accordance with the terms of the Agreement and shall not exceed the maximum estimated contract value.
Procurement Information
The contract was awarded without prior publication of a call for competition due to the specialist nature of the service and the requirement for a provider with the necessary clinical expertise, experience and facilities to deliver pelvic mesh removal services. Following assessment of the service requirement, it was concluded that competition was absent for technical reasons and that the services could be provided only by the selected economic operator. The award was therefore made without prior publication of a call for competition in accordance with the applicable procurement regulations and the rationale documented within the procurement process.
