Glasgow City Council (GCC) has identified that the development of a Bus Hub south of Glasgow's city centre would be beneficial to help meet the aims of the City Centre Transport Plan (CCTP). The Bus Hub would tie in with high volume bus routes and other projects associated with the City Avenues Programme. It is envisaged that the creation of this proposed hub would enhance the bus network and connectivity for passengers, therefore encouraging more people to switch modes and travel more sustainably. The Bus Hub is therefore intended to enhance public transport connectivity, support sustainable travel objectives, and integrate with wider city centre regeneration initiatives.
