Prior to this the responsibility was held by Buckinghamshire Council but it was devolved to the Council in 2022. Buckinghamshire Council continues to oversee and maintain the electrical highway infrastructure, while non- highway electrical infrastructure is managed through agreement with landlords. The successful supplier will be required to work closely with the Council on this on this project ensuring transparency in accounts and working practices. The anticipated start date of the contract is 1 March 2025 and will be a 3 year contract. The contract value is £270,000 spread across the 3 years.
