Aylesbury Town Council ( the Council) has the responsibility for the Christmas light displays through out the town centre. Prior to this the responsibility was held by Buckinghamshire Council but it was devolved to the Council in 2022. Buckinghamshire Council continues to oversee and maintain the electrical highway infrastructure, while non- highway electrical infrastructure is managed through agreement with landlords. The successful supplier will be required to work closely with the Council on this on this project ensuring transparency in accounts and working practices. The anticipated start date of the contract is 1 March 2025 and will be a 3 year contract. The contract value is £270,000 spread across the 3 years. The Department for Transport (DfT) funds Bikeability cycle training for schools. The Bikeability Trust distributes this funding across England to local authorities. Bikeability is today's cycle training programme. It's about gaining practical skills and understanding how to cycle on today's roads. Bikeability training comes in a variety of modules which help provide skills and confidence in cycling. In order to support the delivery of cycle training within the county Buckinghamshire Council (BC) is seeking Cycle Training Providers to deliver the training modules associated with any DfT funding grant BC should receive. The approved provider list is being established under the Public Contract Regulation 2015 Light Touch Regime (LTR). Please note that any contracts awarded under this agreement from 1st April 2025 will be subject to the availability of funding received from the DfT. The approved list will be based upon set geographical areas covering the various training modules available. The approved list will be in place from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2028. Buckinghamshire Council seeks tenders from suitably experienced organisations that can develop and manage a physical activity pathway for inactive older adults with long-term conditions. Interested organisations must have experience of supporting adults with long-term conditions to increase their physical activity levels. The pathway project will support system change and collaborative action, to prevent long-term health conditions and enable supportive self-management for people with existing long-term conditions, as well as reducing the risk of recurrent events. The pathway will be targeted at residents of the Opportunity Bucks wards of Buckinghamshire, it will maximise community assets and ensure that people get the right support to become active and improve their health (both physical and mental) and wellbeing. Physical Activity Specialists that work on the project are required to be, as a minimum, experienced Level 3 Exercise on Referral qualified (minimum 1 year supporting adults with long-term conditions and trained in behaviour change using the COM-B model). Buckinghamshire Council is seeking to create an approved provider list (APL)of suitably qualified organisations to deliver innovative Skills Bootcamps across Buckinghamshire. Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government's Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. Buckinghamshire Council is planning to apply for up to an estimated £10,500,000 funding over the next 3 years from the Department of Education to support learners through Skills Bootcamps. Skills Bootcamps are flexible training courses for adults aged 19 and over (subject to eligibility criteria). They last up to 16 weeks with minimum 60 hours of learning, and are open for participants looking to gain work, wishing to upskill, or access new opportunities, and will offer a guaranteed job interview (in the case of a new job) to individual participants on course completion. The courses are open to adults who are full-time and part-time employed, unemployed or returning to work after a break or self-employed, to address the needs of employers and the wider economy, to deliver targeted interventions to meet short/medium term demand to fill vacancies and drive productivity.
